There is no doubt, specially for Christmas, that Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ. However, controversies live especially when it comes to the date of his birth. Some theologies claim that based on their interpretation of the Bible, the birth of the Savior probably occurred in late summer or early fall 2000 years ago. I cannot say "deliver us from evil" if I do not put on the whole armor of God.
I cannot say "Thine is the kingdom" if I do not give the the King the loyalty due Him as a faithful subject.
I cannot attribute to Him "the power" if i fear what men may do.
I cannot ascribe to Him "the glory" if I am seeking honor only for myself.
I cannot say "forever" if the horizon of my life is bound completely by the things of time.
The words we utter in prayer don't matter if our hearts are far from God. Coming before a Holy God in prayer requires a total examination of our hearts. As the Psalmist say, "Search me, oh God, and know my heart and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way." Before we bring to God our petitions, let us acknowledge and confess to Him our utter sinfulness and ask for His forgiveness for what God wants is a repentant, humble, and contrite heart that completely depends on the richness of His grace and mercy

After graduation, you will now face another step, closer to your dreams, and you are now about to face the bigger tasks ahead of you. But the question is, are you competent enough to face the challenges ahead?
Obviously, this kind of rejoicing is only short-lived. It comes not a surprise that earning your much coveted degree is the ultimate end. The truth is, you are yet to face the tedious task of finding for yourself the opportunities by which you could exercise your chosen field of specialization.
On the brighter side, you will now be excused from waking up early, wearing uniforms, making assignments, and projects, taking examinations and paying tuition.
The worst to think of is, you may unwillingly become bonafide members of unemployed and inexperienced rolled into one. Such is a dilemma. Candidates for graduation still have to face this reality.

Having been educated therefore is a privilege because not all of us could enjoy the same reasons other than financial restraints. But such situation should be understood and recognized. Recognizing the fact may mean that we should be prepared for the possibility for we could not all be doctors, farmers, teachers, or lawyers at the same time. We have to face the reality that we co-exist with other people, who are also human being just like us, forever looking at the slightest opportunity to have a better and improved kind of lifestyle. Every one has the right to improve his/her lifestyle through many ways and creating further means for the people who have less in life to get better opportunities to improve themselves.
Life doesn't end there. You should explore more possibilities if you really want to progress in life. You should be resourceful, creative and try to discover our untapped talents. Who knows? This might bring you to the top. Moreover, try to attend some job fairs, which might give you a chance to land a job where you can exercise your chosen field of specialization.

How's my mom and my dad? Who among you asked this question" Have you ever spent just one minute realizing the question or you're just too busy mingling and joining drinks with those people whom you call friends? Or living with your boyfriend or girlfriend in a house which your parents are paying? Students nowadays do enjoy going out of their houses just to be with their friends and enjoy staying on bars.
The only dream of parents is for their children to achieve good education and have a good future. Even how poor and hard life is, they see to it that we can achieve our very own dreams. We are their concerns. They work because they have dreams for us but have we ever realized their suffering and hard works? Are we thinking of them working the farm whenever we spend our money just for nothing? Realize it yourself.
We're lost. We don't care anyone, as long as we are with our bad influenced friends whom we drink and laugh with. We spend our parents money on liquors and cigarettes. Aren't we ashamed? Remember, it's not our own money. Its the fruit of our parents' hard work. They send thousands of money for school not for anything else. They are expecting so much from us but we really don't care anymore. We are lost, but if we are willing to seek for a change, we will be able to find our way.

Should we blame the government for this problem or should we blame ourselves?

If only Filipinos unite to fight poverty, poverty in our country could be lessened. Sharing what we have would be the best thing to do; and of course, fear in God. We are now in the state of crisis. It is now the time that Filipinos should unite to fight this crisis. There's nothing impossible when all of us unite and fight the biggest problem of our country. If only this will happen. And someday our country will never be the poorest; instead the richest country.

Your Choice In Life
Often it is questioned what purpose mathematics serves in real life. Or Chemistry, when it is not even directly related to some courses. Or even NSTP, when I entertain no intention of collecting garbage for a living anyway. So why should any student bother?
Well, besides the fact that subjects such as these have been architectured into our curricula to breed us into well-rounded individuals, my personal truth is it is not about the subjects, but the attitude you have towards your studies. It is the attitude wherein you abandon any space for intellectual laziness and the attitude in which you challenge yourself to better than the day before. It is the same attitude which translates into the grades you receive, which propels you to a mindset that you would later in import to the profession you would exercise.
It is never to early to embrace such an attitude. I speak to those who feel too young to think about the inevitable future, as if college was no privilege but a burden. Fashion that to the decisions you make now, and not be obvious to its effects in the future. So I challenge you to make the right decisions, for no one else is going to make those decisions for you.

Well, besides the fact that subjects such as these have been architectured into our curricula to breed us into well-rounded individuals, my personal truth is it is not about the subjects, but the attitude you have towards your studies. It is the attitude wherein you abandon any space for intellectual laziness and the attitude in which you challenge yourself to better than the day before. It is the same attitude which translates into the grades you receive, which propels you to a mindset that you would later in import to the profession you would exercise.
It is never to early to embrace such an attitude. I speak to those who feel too young to think about the inevitable future, as if college was no privilege but a burden. Ten (10) Rules of Job Interviewing
Before stepping into an interview, be sure to practice, practice, practice. A job-seeker going to an interview without preparing is like an actor performing on opening night without rehearsing.
To help with the interview process, keep the following rules in mind:
1. Keep your answers brief and concise. Unless asked to give more detail, limit your answers to two or three minutes per question. Tape yourself and see how long it takes you fully answer a question.
2. Include concrete, quantifiable data. Interviewees tend to talk in generalities. Unfortunately, generalities often fail to convince interviewers that the applicant is skilled. Include measurable information and provide details about specific accomplishments when discussing your strengths.
3. Repeat your key strengths several times. It's essential that you comfortable and confident articulate your strengths. Explain how the strengths relate to the company's or department's goal and how they might benefit the potential employer. If you repeat your strengths they will be remembered and if supported with quantifiable accomplishment they will more likely be believed.
4. Prepare five or more success stories. In preparing for interviews, make a list of your skills and key assets. Then reflect on past jobs and pick out one or two instances when you used those skills successfully.
5. Put yourself on their team. Ally yourself with the prospective employer by using the employer's name and products or services. For example, "As a member of ______, I would carefully analyze the ______ and ______, " Show that you are thinking like a member of the team and will fit in with the existing environment. A Message to the Graduates
Looking back, 4-5 years ago, I enrolled to this institution not knowing what lies ahead. Since then, I have very challenging and fulfilling years of stay here as a student. In my pursuit of higher academic endeavor. I was able to withstand the rigors in life and hurdled a very important and crucial phase of my education. And I am so proud of this achievement.
Now that we are on our way, equipped with ample skills and knowledge, I hope that we make use if our self-improvement, our family's economic and social advancement and lest we might overlook our country's upliftment.
Many graduates end up disillusioned simply because after they do, they seemed to have lost the esteem and vigor to set sight towards an even higher goal in life. Graduation is not the end of the road. It is in fact the beginning of a more challenging life ahead. It is actually a life for which we were prepared to tackle.
I therefore urge my fellow graduates to be a stronger, more determined and more positive in life after graduation. For a more complicated, a more genuine, and a more intricate life lies ahead. Don't despair though for God has store a definite role for all of us.
Remember likewise that men, like nails, lose their usefulness when they lose direction and begin to bend. Let's hang on to our ideals, never lose esteem and never be swayed by the evils in the world. In so doing, a brighter future beckons.

Stand Up and Be Counted- May 2010 Elections
The nations is beset with many problems. Senseless bombings or terrorism, economic crisis, growing number of crimes, graft and corruption, calamities, etc.- the things is we blame the administration for the problems we have today.
It is natural for people to fault the government for their economic problems and some people may want a change. But any change must be for the better and any political change should be pursued through a democratic means. Change of Leadership can only be affected through elections and that is on May 10, 2010, barely less than a month from now.
Each of us has our own contribution to make the Philippines the kind of country we want it to be. Fortunately for us, May 10 will be the time when we can be part of the cause of a change to make our country a better place to live in. It is the time where we should stand up and be counted. The period when we should exercise our right to choose for a leader who is sympathetic and generous in his attitudes to other people, cultures and countries, who is sensitive to the beautiful and the ugly in actions and objects, who believes in human rights and freedom. Leaders who will not be bought or be sold, leaders who in their inmost souls are true and honest. Leaders whose conscience is as true as to duty as the needle to the pole. Leaders who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.
If we really want a change, we've got to make it happen. Good citizens who do not vote elect bad officials. Most of the time, after the appointment we feel upset because our chosen leaders are self-assuming, proud and arrogant. A leader, who instead of building a nation, causes a country to fall and his people to deteriorate.
Therefore, to avoid this, on May 10 we should come out of our shell and take part in fulfilling the life changing event of every Filipino.
In voting, let our object be our country, our whole country and nothing but our country. And by the blessing of God, may the Philippines become a vast and splendid monument, not of oppression and terror, of graft and corruption, but of wisdom, of peace and liberty, upon which the world may gaze with admiration forever.

Rules of Success
Success is the accomplishment of goals in life no matter how simple these goals may seem. It always implies striving to meet or exceed some sets of standards established. The pursuit of success is always a personal choice. No one can make someone else pursue success. Obtaining success always demands a cost, it takes time, ability, and resources.
As we pursue our goals, we must bear in mind that God ordains everything that happens. Lamentations 3:37 states, "Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?". God wants to show us that despite our effort and hard work, our success still depends on Him. Though we need to set our eyes on the goal, we must be reminded that our lives are in His hands. Our effort should be centered on the truth that God directs every path we take and every step we make. His words should be out road map as we journey toward out goals. As it is written, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path". The Scriptures reveal certain rules that could enlighten us in our day to day struggles as we pursue success.
Our destiny lies not on our hands alone. No one achieves success on his own, and neither can we do it on our own. As we strive to pursue our goals, let us always be humbled be the truth that it is God who gave us the resources we need. God enables us, by His grace and mercy, to will and to act according to His purposes. It is our responsibility to use these resources wisely that we may attain this success. He has prepared for us beforehand. Let us respond to God's gracious provision by utilizing these resources properly and carefully and giving Him all the glory as we work toward these goals.
